The invention discloses a method for automatically identifying a locomotive control mode based on wireless reconnection. The method comprises a step S1 of compiling a homotype locomotive control program and a mixed locomotive control program for each locomotive of a train; a step S2 of obtaining locomotive type information of the locomotive and marshalling state information of the train by a locomotive marshalling control device; a step S3 of sending by the locomotive marshalling control device the locomotive type information of the locomotive to other locomotives through a wireless network; a step S4 of obtaining by the locomotive marshalling control device locomotive type information of other locomotives of the train through the wireless network according to the marshalling state information of the train; a step S5 of comparing by the locomotive marshalling control device whether the locomotive type information of the locomotive is consistent with locomotive type information of other locomotives; if the locomotive type information is consistent, setting the locomotive control mode of the locomotive as a homotype locomotive control mode, or else setting the locomotive control mode of the locomotive as a mixed locomotive control mode. According to the method, the locomotive control mode can be automatically identified and selected flexibly and quickly during train mixed marshalling, and the method has the advantages of quick speed, high reliability and effective reduction of working strength of train workers.
