Gait measurement method and apparatus using electronic accelerometer sensor

PURPOSE: A method and a device for detecting walk using an electronic acceleration sensor are provided to detect a walk situation in real time from an acceleration signal, which is sensed from a three-axis acceleration sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method and a device for detecting walk using an electronic acceleration sensor comprises a three-axis acceleration sensor(12), a signal amplification unit(20), a signal processing unit(22), a storage unit(24), and a display unit(26). The three-axis acceleration sensor outputs an acceleration signal of a gravity direction to sense the pose change of a walker. The signal amplification unit amplifies and filters a signal. The signal processing unit obtains the strongest acceleration signal in a gravity direction as a walk event. The storage unit stores the result processed by the signal processing unit. The display unit externally displays the result processed by the signal processing unit.
