Impact of O/E Front-End Frequency Response on Kramers-Kronig Receivers and its Compensation

We investigate the impact of the opto-electronic front-end frequency response on Kramers-Kronig (KK) receivers. We demonstrate that adaptive equalization preceding KK processing can significantly improve optical field reconstruction.
