Research on monitoring the shape of slope based on the three-dimensional laser scanning technology

This paper introduced the principle of three-dimensional laser scanning technology, and gave the technical process of data acquisition and processing in slope monitoring: First of all,the depth image was decollated based on the regional segmentation method, and point cloud data was matched by signs point matching method. Then point cloud data could be simplified using filtering method, and finally point cloud was spliced using the iterative closest point method(ICP algorithm). With the actual monitoring data of a slope as a case study area, this paper obtained point cloud data using Trimble GX200 three-dimensional laser scanner and DEM data sources using RealWork Survey Advanced scan data processing software, and extracted DEM.The topographic map describing the shape of slope was generated with South CASS 7.0 system. The result showed that the DEM and shape of the slope could be obtained by the technology represented in this article, which could provide the basic data for slope deformation monitoring and disaster prediction.
