Design Requirements for Voltage and Power Reactive Integrative Control System in Substations

According to application situation of voltage and reactive power integrative control(VQC) system in substations,an analysis with regard to the main design requirements for VQC was conducted.Such requirements involved control strategies,limit values,operation modes,blocking function,control objects,and human-machine interface of VQC.Accordingly,a 13-area control strategy which can be widely used was proposed.This paper points out that a VQC that meets all design requirements is able to operate steadily and reliably in real environment,increasing the qualified rate of reactive power and reducing network loss.
