On using a computer for simultaneous data collection and computation

Abstract A computer system for on-line data collection is described. Data enters memory via a special interface. The storage locations for data become part of the Resident system, so other calculations may be carried out at the same time. Fortran has been modified so that it can refer to these memory locations.
