The many varieties in exhaust pipe routing and the flexibility in muffler design make it possible to design an exhaust system to deliver tail pipe noise for customer requirements. Exhaust acoustics simulation is an important part of the exhaust system process. This paper describes an advance of the GT-POWER code to simulate the exhaust system. It simulate Tail pipe noise and back pressure level using 4cylinder gasoline engine. It accomplished the TL simulation of the main resonator included EVV(Exhaust Variable valve) for the verification against the tail pipe noise simulation model. And it was verified experiment result for propriety of the simulation model.
