Elastic scattering of 12C ions using the Watanabe superposition model

Optical potentials for the scattering of 12C projectiles from 28Si, 40Ca, 90Zr and 208Pb are calculated using the Watanabe superposition model. The elastic scattering differential cross sections obtained using these potentials are compared with experimental data. Good fits are obtained without modifying any of the parameters.
