Effect of hydrostatic test on material properties of air cylinder for metro vehicle

This paper analyses the effect of hydrostatic test on material properties of air cylinder,which is used long-term for metro vehicle. It also discusses whether the inspection requirements are achieved if only using the hydrostatic test,in order to replace the ray-test which is high cost. This analysis includes the elastic-plastic deformation of air cylinder,strength reserve of hydrostatic test,fatigue crack growth,fatigue crack growth retardation and technological requirements of relevance test.
