Reactive Power Compensation for Low Voltage ride-through of DFIG Wind Power System Based on SVC

During the grid fault, the DFIG low voltage ride-through guidelines require the wind farm to output the specified reactive current to support the electric grid voltage recovery, and the problem of the rotor overcurrent during fault will seriously damage the inverter. This paper proposed SVC to provide reactive power support and a control strategy to suppress the overcurrent, and builds a simulation model in MATLAB/Simulink.
