Enhanced performances of MIMO transmissions over correlated channels system by using adaptive bit and power allocation on eigenmodes

In this paper, we propose the use of bit and power allocation procedure to optimize the use of eigenmodes for multiple antenna systems. We design an adaptive algorithm that exploit the Channel State Information (CSI) available at the transmitter by adapting the transmitted signals in order to enhance the system's performance using adaptive bit and power allocation. We simulate and evaluate its performance in the presence of spatial fading correlation in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive algorithm in realistic environments. We show the interest of adaptive processing in the presence of spatial correlation in MIMO channel.
