An apparatus and a method for compensation of high frequency distortion in a wireless OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system are provided to improve power efficiency through a lower system operation frequency by making an operation frequency of the system identical to a sample frequency of data to be transmitted. An apparatus for compensation of high frequency distortion in a wireless OFDM system includes a digital modulator(301), a reverse sync function modulus generator(302), and a sync function compensator(303). The digital modulator(301) receives a digital signal, and converts the signal into an in-phase signal and an orthogonal phase signal. The reverse sync function modulus generator(302) stores a reverse sync function of a distortion component by signal reduction of a high frequency signal component inputted to a digital-analog converter, and outputs an output value of the reverse sync function, corresponding to an input of a symbol synchronization signal, into a correction signal. The sync function compensator(303) multiplies the correction signal, output from the reverse sync function modulus generator(302), by an output value of the digital modulator(301) to output the multiplied signal.
