Special Issue on Tribute Workshop for Peter Johansen

Professor Peter Johansen, former Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen, retired on 1 February 2008. Peter Johansen is a pioneer of Computer Science and of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen. During his 30 years as full Professor of the Image Group, among his many achievements he has created a unique international and interdisciplinary environment, which has developed students into researchers and attracted internationally leading researchers from a broad scope of research fields. On this occasion, on January 24–25, 2008, a workshop based on invited lectures and contributed paper took place at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen.
