The particle data group in the UK

Abstract The PDG(UK) exist to compile all elementary particle scattering data, and to make this and associated bibliographic information easily available through computer-searchable data bases. To achieve this objective a network of expert compilers has been built up and the work is coordinated by a small group supported by the UK Science and Engineering Research Council. The organization of data capture and marketing is described with emphasis on the largely voluntary nature of the participation of national and international collaborators. This is contrasted briefly with other national and international compilation organizations.
