Mixed Pattern Block Matching Motion Estimation Algorithm Based on H.264

Aiming to the existing fast block-matching motion estimation,a hybrid pattern motion estimation algorithm which can adaptively select different patterns and search strategies according to the sizes of SAD is proposed.The simulation results show that compared with UMHexagonS algorithm,the image coding quality of the proposed algorithm has slightly changed,but the motion estimation time can be reduced by 40%～50%.
