Antenna Interleaved Allocation with FSS and Divided FFT Spreading for MIMO-OFDM

The spreading technique improves the system performance since the influence due to the deep faded subcarrier channel is mitigated. In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, the frequency symbol spreading (FSS) has been proposed. And then, single carrier frequency division multiplexing (SC-FDMA) obtains also the same effect as FSS-OFDM systems. Especially, interleaved SC-FDMA (IFDMA) obtains the good system performance by avoiding the continuous deep faded subcarrier channels. Also, in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, the interleaved operation between the different transmit antennas is also effective. From these techniques, in this paper, we propose the antenna interleaved allocation with the FSS and divided FFT (D-FFT) spreading operations for MIMO-OFDM systems.
