The IRIS Data Management Center

Foreword During the past year the Electronic Seismologist column focused on various aspects of the Internet from a seismologist's perspective. During the coming year this column will cover in some detail several specific sources of seismic data and information. Major data centers will be the topic of two columns, and special data access techniques such as automatic data request managers (AutoDRM) will also be covered. Guest authors for this column are encouraged. If anyone has a short article which might be appropriate for this column please contact Steve Malone (e-mail: steve{at}geophys.washington.edu).
