Design of IP Media Server for Voice Conference Application

An IP media server based on DSP solution is proposed in this paper for voice conference application, which is a necessary element in next generation network (NGN). In this design, DSP array is used to execute the complex media processing. Compared with solutions based on general purpose processor, it keeps low power consumption and enhances the computation capability. The design includes the standard blade interface with IBM blade server. Therefore, it can be integrated with blade server easily to improve the system capability of media processing
