Regioselective hydroxylation and epoxidation of lauric acid and unsaturated analogues by cytochrome P450 in Jesalem artichoke microsomes

We demonstrate that cytochrome P450 from Jerusalem artichoke tuber microsomes is also involved in the regioselective epoxidation as well as allylic hydroxylation of 7-, 8-, 9-, and 10-dodecenoic acids , thus documenting the metabolic capability of this plant cytochrome P450 system
