The present invention provides a communication method and apparatus of the Internet of vehicles. The method includes the following steps that: indication information is sent to a terminal, wherein the indication information is at least used for indicating functions and/or resource configuration information supported by a roadside unit (RSU); and the roadside unit (RSU) carries out Internet-of-Vehicles communication with the terminal according to the indication information. With the communication method and apparatus of the Internet of vehicles adopted, the problem of low communication efficiency of the Internet of vehicles in the prior art can be solved, and communication efficiency can be improved.
