A phase I/II clinical trial of preoperative short‐course carbon‐ion radiotherapy for patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus

Carbon‐ion radiotherapy (CIR) has been under development. We report the results of a phase I/II clinical trial of preoperative CIR for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
