Lippmann color holography

The color imaging by holography and the associated problems are discussed first. Then the developments of Lippmann color holography as the most prominent technique for color imaging are reviewed. The holograms using three recording wavelengths corresponding to the three primary colors are presented in connection with the recording material and the processing. A new technique for recording Lippmann color hologram using a holographic stereogram is described. The color reproduction of the hologram is also discussed from the standpoint of calorimetric color reproduction.
