Lift car elevator with additional brakes

A lift car elevator with additional brakes comprises a lift car, a counter weight connected with the lift car through a steel wire rope and at least one additional brake for providing additional braking force for the lift car. Due to the fact that the additional brakes are arranged on two sides of the steel wire rope and a lift car guide track and the additional braking force is added for the steel wire rope or the lift car, sliding of an elevator lift car is prevented. Safety of an elevator is improved, and accidents of sliding of the lift car caused by weakening of traction force or braking force of the elevator caused by long-time use of the elevator are avoided.
