The Joint Model Library (JML) is a system of distributed repositories where access is controlled by a centralized card catalog through a web interface. The system was designed by a collaboration of representatives from various areas of the air armament community. The JML is under development by the 96 th Communications Group at Eglin AFB at the direction of the Institute for High Performance Computing Applications to Air Armament Board of Directors and more specifically the JML team. The purpose of the JML is to combine the fragmented collections of models and capabilities that are spread out across the different branches of the military into an easily accessible database. It is critical to have and maintain a database of model geometries that is available in order to have a quick reaction capability . The JML is such a system, and it contains models in the form of CAD files and computational fluid dynamics grids, all with specific metadata.
