Inter-Satellite Ranging Based on Proximity-1 Space Link Protocol

The timing services in CCSDS(Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems) Proximity-1 protocol is used together with microwave double one-way ranging to meet the requirements of proximity spacecraft.The method acquires the high accuracy time of the trailing edge of the last bit of the ASM(Attached Synchronization Marker) of every incoming and outgoing Proximity frame with DSSS(Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum).Moreover,frame data domains are cross-transferred in the form of time codes.The result of error analysis shows that the method can be used in the case of short distance and small relative velocity with high precision and at low cost.
