Nonlinear Dynamic Models for the Power Behaviour of Nuclear Power Plants

Abstract This paper is dealing with the development of dynamic models for nuclear power plants with PWR or BWR respectively. The dynamic models – used for power system simulation – are of as low order as possible. The model design is basing on balance equations for the main energy storages inside of the considered type of power plant. Therein the static parameters can mostly be derived by construction– and operation-data whereas the dynamic parameters had to be identified by corresponding measurements. For this purpose a simple cyclic identification algorithm had been developed applicable to models with nonlinear structure and parameter limitation.
