Identification of Parametrically Dependent Processes with Applications to Chemical Technology

Abstract Identification methods of processes which depend on several external parameters are considered. This comprises chemical processes with varying initial conditions and/or process parameters, mixture components, etc. Difference equations whose coefficients are expressed as functions of the external parameters are used. The difference equation is reduced by a linear transformation to an expanded model with constant coefficients. A procedure is proposed for the expanded model parameter estimation. A diagnostic checking procedure is also considered. This approach was used in the investigation of the furfural production and rubber formulation rheological characteristics.
