Locating Type-1 UEPs via tracing the minimum energy path on the energy-like Lyapunov function

With the incorporation of the transmission line over-current tripping model into classical structure-preserving dynamic model, we consider our energy-like Lyapunov function established for power system as the atom-energy function used in molecular geometry optimization. In the literature for the first time we introduce the algorithms that trace minimum energy path to the direct method of Lyapunov in transient stability study of power systems. Specifically, we apply the climbing image nudged elastic band method in our study as an example and perform the first step energy analysis with the augmented dynamic model.
