Simulation and Experimental Examination for the One-Off Deep Drawing Formability of an oil Pan

Oil pan of engine in a car is a very important stamped part.Its typical character istics is of larger drawing depth as well as complicated formability.In this paper,a self developed CAE software for sheet metal forming,called as KMAS,is used for the deep drawing process simulation of the 488-type engine in “Xiao Hongqi” car made by the First Automobile Manufactory.The simulation results are compared with real experimental ones,which shows the validity of the present software.In terms of the simulation results and their formability analysis schemes for the drawing die's structures,primary two-off technic is successfully changed into one-off drawing scheme,therefore,the present key difficult problem is efficiently solved.
