Approach of Eliminating Cross-term of Wigner-Ville Distribution Based on Fast-ICA

Aiming at the problem of cross-terms in Wigner-Ville distribution,an eliminating approach based on Fast Independent Component Analysis( Fast-ICA) is proposed. Fast-ICA method is utilized to the mixtured signal in an attempt to extract a number of independent components. Wigner-Ville analysis is employed on the above independent components respectively. The analysis results of each component are used to reconstruct the overall Wigner-Ville distribution of the original signal by linear superposition,in w hich there are less or even no corss-terms. The presented method provides another method of eliminating cross-terms and the simulation results show that it can eliminate the crossterms in the Wigner-Ville distribution of the mixtured signal w ith advantages of fast convergence,high real-time performance as w ell as sound time-frequency concentration.
