Nature and prediction of changes in marital quality for first-time parent and nonparent husbands and wives.

The study compares changes in dimensions of marital quality for first-time parents and nonparents and examined differences in the extent to which individual-differences variables and discrepancies between spouses on these individual-differences variables predicted change in marital satisfaction for parents and nonparents.
