Analysis on Two Configurations for IP Multicast

IP multicast is typically used to describe IP layer one-to-many distribution,which is often employed for network applications such as streaming media and distance education.It’s significant to choose a suitable configuration for multicast implementation.This article puts forward two IP multicast configurations using routers and layer 3 switches respectively,and analyzes the principle,performance and ap-plication of occasions of these two configuration options,in order to pave the way for further research on IP multicast applications.
