The relationship of alpha amplitude to the level of palmar conductance.

Abstract In a study of the relationship of alpha amplitude to the level of palmar conductance, 31 experimental Ss underwent several experimental conditions designed to produce substantial changes in level of arousal. Data from the continuous, selective recording of the alpha component of the EEG and palmar conductance gave highly significant statistical support to the hypothesis that an inverted-U relationship exists between these two variables.
