Research of image compression based on Wireless visual sensor networks

In order to solve the problems of limited energy and noisy channel in Wireless visual sensor networks, a image coding algorithm of separated sub-tree based on no list set partitioning in hierarchical trees and a segment transmission scheme are proposed in this paper. Each sub-tree is coded independently to control error propagation, and compressed bit streams are transmitted segmently. Thus anti-noise and energy-efficient performance are greatly improved. The simulation results show the effectiveness of proposed image coding strategy. It can be applied to some specific environment used Wireless visual sensor networks.
