The Supervised Control of the Automated Manufacturing System of the AlP

Abstract A supervised control system has been developed for an automated system (AlP, Grenoble, France). The supervised control concept [2,3] allows us to clearly separate control and supelVision. This provides a hierarchical frame that permits us to formalize and to systematize the transition from the synthesis to the implantation of the control. In this paper, the approach is detailed for a part of the process. Grafcet is intensively used for the supervision and control design. However, the proof of controllability is based on automata models.
