A New Modified Adaptive Algorithm for Time Delay Compensation of Optoelectronic Tracker

Time-delay of tracker in photoelectric searching and tracking system reduces the tracking accuracy of the system. To solve this problem, a new modified "current" statistical model adaptive filtering algorithm is proposed to compensate the miss distance signal delay. Predicting the state information of the target in advance by adjusting the maneuvering frequency and acceleration variance adaptively is to achieve the purpose of compensating for time-delay. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is effective, and by comparing the speed tracking curve with time-delay compensation and without time-delay compensation on a photoelectric tracking device, it can be concluded that the proposed algorithm improves the target tracking accuracy effectively, and has a good compensation effect on the time-delay of the tracker.
