This paper deals with numerical and experimental investigations in the field of a rail vehicle dynamics. The sensitivity analysis of the influence of relevant wagon parameters on the coincidence of experimental measurements' and numerical simulations' results was examined. The aim of laboratory tests and computer simulations is the investigation of dynamic properties of leaf springs of two types mounted on a freight wagon. The goal of the computer simulations and experimental tests is the verification of the developed approach to the wagon multibody modeling. In future, verified wagon models can be used for studying the dynamics of complex vehicles in different driving situations or for various laboratory excitations.
