On the non-autonomous Lotka-Volterra N-species competing systems

In this paper the qualitative properties of general non-autonomous Lotka-Volterra N-species competing systems are studied. Some new criteria of uniform persistence, extinction and globally asymptotical stability for partial species are established. These results improve and extend the recent ones obtained by Montes de Oca, Zeeman and Ahmad in [Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 117 (1993) 199-204; Appl. Math. Comput. 90 (1998) 155-166; Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 124 (1996) 3677-3687; J. Math. Anal. Appl. 192 (1995) 360-370]
