Acousto-optic excitation of all the higher-order modes in a four-mode fiber for mode-division multiplexed transmission

We demonstrate an acousto-optic mode converter for selective excitation of all the higher-order modes in a four-mode fiber eligible for mode division multiplexing in the telecommunication band.
