A method for accessing a memory (130), comprising the steps of: Determining available power by measuring a field strength, wherein the available power at least partly based on the measured field strength; and parallel accessing a number of bits of the memory (130) wherein the number of bits are accessed in parallel is at least partially determined dynamically on the basis of the available power.
