Optimization of Arrival Intervals at Metro Interchange Stations

On the premise that passengers' walking time follows logarithmic normal distribution,the paper analyzes the influence factors of transfer waiting time,establishes the optimal transfer waiting time model with different arrival intervals and obtains the transfer waiting time calculation formula.Through a case study on Zhichunlu metro transfer station,it is found that,after optimization,the passengers' transfer waiting time is reduced from the original 79.38s to 25.95s,a reduction rate of 67.3%,which is a dramatic efficiency boost.
