Thermodynamic properties of some mono-, di-, and tri-esters. Enthalpies of solution in water at 288.15 to 318.15 K and enthalpies of vaporization and heat capacities at 298.15 K

Abstract Enthalpies of dissolution in water of some monoesters, ethyleneglycol diesters, and glycerol triesters have been determined calorimetrically at different temperatures in the range 288 to 318 K. Enthalpies of vaporization and heat capacities for the pure compounds have been determined at 298.15 K. Densities determined at 293.15 and 298.15 K for some of the diesters and triesters are also reported. Enthalpies of solvation and partial molar heat capacities at 298.15 K have been calculated for the infinitely dilute solutions. Results are discussed in terms of deviations from empirical additivity schemes.
