Diffraction by a dielectric-loaded half plane with eccentric edge

An exact series solution of a line source incident on a dielectric-loaded half plane with eccentric edge is presented. The scattered and guided fields are represented in terms of an infinite series of radial waveguide mode with unknown coefficients. By applying the boundary conditions, the scattered coefficients are obtained. It is shown that the effect of the dielectric cap and eccentric edge is significant for modifying the amplitude and polar location of the diffraction lobes.
