Experimental investigation of the 3D vibrational behaviour of an induction machine

An experimental investigation regarding the structural behaviour of an operating induction machine has been carried out, focusing on an examination of the vibrational behaviour that results in noise radiation. Acceleration measurements have been performed, first on the stator core stack in azimuthal as well as axial direction, and then on the housing. Besides steady measurements for different supply frequencies also unsteady measurements have been recorded. The occurring oscillation modes of the stator have been evaluated and compared to the vibration of the housing.
