Temperature design of asphalt pavement at cold area

There is an unreasonable problem in the temperature design of asphalt pavement at the cold area,and there is a limitation in SHRP for temperature design at cold area.Based on the meteorology data collected from Liaoning province,the internal influence factors on pavement temperature,which include temperature coefficient and heat transfer mode,is studied,and the outer influence factors which include temperature solar radiation and wind velocity,is also considered. Then,the temperature design for asphalt pavement at cold area is numerically simulated,the regression relationship between air temperature and asphalt pavement temperature is studied by mathematics statistics,and the temperature design calculation functions of asphalt pavement are presented.The application results indicate that the temperature calculation functions coincide with statistic data;they have good accuracy and feasibility.3 tabs,3 figs,8 refs.
