Test Bench Concept for Clutch Drive of Automatic DCT Gearboxes

In this paper a test bench concept for the evaluation of the dynamic performances, precision and accuracy of auxiliary electric drives in an automatic gearbox is presented. Due to the separate drive and load controlled supply, the drive system is able to work at any operating point in the Q1 and Q2 quadrants, i.e. with positive torque and sense reversing. It can also be adjusted very precisely both in space, angular (linear) position and in time, operating duration, making it useful in studying positioning errors and reaction delays. At the end of this paper some relevant experimental measurements related to these variable parameters are presented.
