A detector assembly for simultaneous conversion electron Mossbauer spectroscopy (CEMS), conversion x-ray Mossbauer spectroscopy (CXMS) and transmission Mossbauer spectroscopy (TMS) is presented. Two proportional flow counters combined together are used for CEMS and CXMS. The incident 14.4 keV -rays are able to permeate the sample and are detected by a conventional proportional detector located behind the CEMS/CXMS detector. The characteristics of the CEMS/CXMS detector, operating at room temperature, are reported.
