드라이빙 시뮬레이터를 이용한 운전자 상태측정 시스템 개발 및 검증

In this study, we developed a driver status monitoring system that consists of some pressure sensors. We hypothesized that a vigilant driver would respond more frequently and quicker to changes in road situations than a low vigilant driver. In other words, a drowsy driver shows monotonous response to a gas pedal and a steering wheel during driving. Driving simulator was used to investigate a driver status monitoring system. We installed pressure sensors on the gas pedal, the steering wheel and the headrest in a driving simulator cabin and measured the time derivatives of pedal and grip forces with their moving averages. We then determined the critical values of each sensor using experimental results and made a driver status estimation algorithm including the information of a lane deviation. Eye-tracking system was used to evaluate the driver status monitoring system.
