Several Typical Architectures of ADCs and their Application

As a bridge between analog circuits and digital signal processors, ADCs have been developed quickly surrounding resolution and sampling rate, and developed many architectures, and every kind architecture has its own features. This paper researches contradistinctively the performances and features, circuit complexity, sampling rate and application fields of four popular structures of ADC. Finally, it introduces the actuality and development trends of Pipeline ADC, which has been widely used in Software Defined Radio and Digital Intermediate Frequency Receivers.
