For the indistinctive salient pole effect of non-salient pole PMLSM,a new method based on the additional high-frequency windings of mover was presented to detect the power angle for the non-salient pole PMLSM.By analyzing the basic structure and working principle of PMLSM,the relationship equation between power angle and mover position angle was derived and the mover position angle detection mathematical formula was obtained based on the additional high-frequency windings of mover.The results show that this method can detect the power angle of non-salient pole PMLSM in a wide speed range,including zero-speed.In addition,the detection system proposed has the advantages of simple structure,low cost,high precision and quick response and it is suitable for long stroke servosystem and transportation system drived by non-salient pole PMLSM in particular.
